Vassa Lunch Dāna Offering | Every Thursday at Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden

During the annual Vassa period, devotees are invited to join us for our weekly Lunch Dāna Offering to the Sangha at Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden.

Dāna, or generosity, is one of the fundamental practices taught by the Buddha. Offering food and other requisites to members of the Sangha provides an opportunity to cultivate generosity, gratitude and wholesome intentions while supporting monastics in their practice.

Throughout Vassa, the Sangha traditionally remains in one place for a period of dedicated practice, study and meditation. Our Thursday Lunch Dāna provides devotees, families and friends with an opportunity to come together and participate in this longstanding Buddhist tradition.

🍚 Devotees are warmly encouraged to bring cooked vegetarian food to offer to the Sangha.

You may bring a dish to share, participate in the offering, or simply join us for the occasion. Everyone is welcome, including those who may be participating in Dāna for the first time.
