About the event
Vassa, the annual Buddhist rains retreat, is an annual three-month monastic retreat, where Sangha Members remain in residence within their temples and leave its grounds only when necessary. Laypeople show their devotion and appreciation by supporting the Sangha Members with food and other necessities at the end of Vassa on Kathina Day.
